A line sketch carries proportion, openings and structure. Here is how a render pass keeps all three and changes only the light, the materials and the season.

Most render passes start from a model that is still moving. The useful question is not whether the image is beautiful, but whether it is still your building: the same bays, the same glazed corner, the same rhythm of fins.
Condition on the drawing, direct the rest
The render is conditioned on the source image, so its geometry comes back as drawn. What you direct is everything around it: the time of day, the wet ground after rain, the warmth of the interior spill.
When one part should change, point at it and say so. A region edit changes that region and nothing else, which is what makes a set of variants comparable.
